Code of Conduct
SIFF is committed to providing a safe and positive festival environment.
This Code applies to all SIFF activities, events, and platforms, both online and in-theatre.
All attendees, staff, filmmakers, sponsors, and volunteers at SIFF are required to comply with the following code of conduct leading up to and throughout the entire event.
SIFF is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive environment free of harassment or discrimination for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity & expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, physical appearance, race, or ethnicity. We invite everyone engaging with SIFF to take an active role through leading by example, looking out for those around you, and contributing to a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to: offensive verbal or online comments related to gender; gender identity and expression; sexual orientation; disability; age; physical appearance; race or ethnicity; sexual images in public space; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of films, Q&As, or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention or advances (physical or verbal) publicly or through online communication channels.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the SIFF staff immediately in person at the event or reach us via email at SimplyIndieFilmFest@gmail.com (please include ‘Urgent’ in the subject line).
Anyone not complying with the Code of Conduct can have their festival tickets confiscated immediately WITHOUT REFUND at the sole discretion of SIFF. SIFF also reserves the right to ban the violator from future events. This code exists to ensure a safe and fun environment for all SIFF attendees, staff, filmmakers, sponsors, and volunteers.
